HERE & NOW

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit a series of artwork to their online exhibit, HERE & NOW. This call seeks artists to submit work that addresses pressing contemporary issues—whether social, political, cultural, environmental, inspirational, spiritual, or personal—and expresses modern life's realities, challenges, struggles, and joys from the artist's unique perspective.

Artists must submit a body of work between 8-20 pieces in JPEG format (1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, maximum 5 MB file size) along with an artist statement. All fine art mediums are eligible, including oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, and digital art. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible, and AI-generated work will not be accepted. Diptychs and triptychs should be uploaded as a single image.

The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). JPEGs are due by Friday, February 23, 2024 at midnight MST. Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be by Friday, March 22, 2024. Accepted artists will have their series displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com and will receive a cash prize of $250 each. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist's website and contact information, with artists receiving 100% of sale proceeds. The call is open to amateur and professional artists worldwide. Selection is by director's choice, curated and juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill along with an anonymous committee of jurors. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.
