About This Call

Gallerium presents HERE and NOW 2024, a dual exhibition and publication exploring the essence of contemporary life through art. Artists are encouraged to delve into the realities, challenges, struggles, and joys of contemporary life and visualize them through their unique artistic expression.

Themes include social issues (refugees, inflation, poverty, gender identity, LGBTIQA+ rights, women's rights); cultural traditions and heritage; environmental concerns (climate change, water scarcity, global warming); political events and conflicts; inspirational movements (me too, black lives matter, indigenous rights, peace); and personal and spiritual experiences of living in the present moment.

All abstract and representational interpretations in 2D and 3D art media are welcomed. Selected artworks will be exhibited in an online group exhibition from February 1 to March 31, 2024, and published in The Book of Arts: HERE and NOW. The online book version is free; high-quality print editions can be ordered. Selected artworks will also be featured in an exhibition catalogue, promoted for sales via the online exhibition, and may be selected for publication in art magazines and books on the Biafarin network. Each selected artist receives a free online profile page, digital certificate, exhibition poster link, and promotional badges. Artists will receive reports with visitor analytics, reviews, and sales statistics.

Submission is free. If selected, a USD 40 selection fee applies, with a money-back guarantee until the exhibition opening. Artists can submit up to 5 artworks; maximum 2 will be accepted per artist. Artworks must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and created without instructor supervision. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no creation year limit. No size restrictions apply. Artworks that include pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate/offensive content are not admissible. This opportunity is open to all visual artists worldwide.
