Henry Moore Institute Grants & Fellowships

The Henry Moore Institute is a world-recognised centre for the study of sculpture offering a year-round programme of exhibitions, conferences, lectures, research and publications. Each year the Institute offers a number of Fellowships to enable artists and researchers to develop their work.

Three fellowship categories are available: New Projects and Commissions (grants for exhibitions, exhibition catalogues and commissions encouraging new thinking about sculpture); Research and Development (supporting individuals and organisations conducting extensive research projects focused on sculpture); and Artist Research Fellowships (for artists to develop their practice through research using the Institute's resources). Research Fellows will be given the opportunity to spend a month in Leeds. Up to two six-week Senior Fellowships are available for established scholars to develop a research project free from usual work commitments.

Two application cycles are offered: Summer (applications open 1 August 2025, close 1 September 2025 at 23:00, for projects starting or opening to the public no sooner than 1 January 2026) and Autumn (applications open 1 November, close 1 December at 23:00, for projects starting or opening to the public no sooner than 1 April 2026).
