Health Facility For Children: Prosper, TX

Local artists are invited to submit work for consideration for a Health Facility For Children in Prosper, TX. The project seeks artwork for two wall spaces: 1st floor (11' x 13') and 2nd floor (11' x 10'). Art must have a cohesive design spanning both locations.

Accepted media includes wall-mounted mixed media sculpture (ceramic, wood, metal, acrylic; no glass; cannot project more than 4" off wall), large-scale panels, canvas, wall graphics, public art, and mural installations. Appropriate subject matter conveys positivity, joy, and whimsy; is playful for children and adults; and may be geometric, illustrative, community-focused, interactive, urban, or nature-based abstraction. Non-figurative work is preferred. Avoid concentrated amounts of red and black.

Artists must be located within 100 miles of Prosper, TX (northeast to northcentral Texas). Artists must be able to ship or deliver artwork to Art Expressions in Gurnee, IL, unless it is a sculptural piece, in which case delivery logistics will be discussed. Submissions should include a brief written description for each piece. Artists without pieces fitting the specified sizes may submit examples of their work and indicate availability for commission requests. Project installation is projected for end of June to early July. Submissions require 1-5 images. Applications are due February 12, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
