Health Careers Center Art Exhibit Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

Central Oregon Community College seeks artists for exhibitions in the Health Careers Center's first floor corridor, a highly trafficked exhibition space measuring 11 ft. H x 46 ft. W. The space is equipped with a custom hanging system at 8 ft. All accepted work must be suitably framed/mounted and ready for hanging. Art submissions do not need to have a health or healthcare-related theme. The exhibition site will be provided as-is, and exhibitors should review lighting prior to proposal submission to ensure it will work for the proposed art; no additional lighting or alterations to the space are permissible.

The College will select two artists: one for a fall quarter exhibition (October 21 – November 24, 2024) and one for a spring quarter exhibition (March 31 – May 4, 2025). Exhibits will be displayed for a five-week period during these timeframes, based on a mutually agreed upon date between COCC and the artist. Selected artists will work with the Exhibition Coordinator to discuss specific exhibition dates, installation, publicity, and de-installation.

Artists must submit a minimum of five (5) and maximum of ten (10) images, a brief artist statement (maximum 250 words), and a resume. Artists may only submit one application. The proposal deadline is April 14, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Committee review occurs April 15-28, with finalists selected April 29 – May 19. Selected artists will be notified on or after May 20, 2024. Artist installation will be based on a mutually agreed upon schedule between COCC and the artist.
