About This Call
The mission of Hayama Artist Residency is to introduce visual artists from around the world to Japanese culture and offer them an opportunity to have their first gallery exhibition in Japan. This is a 4-week residency in a small, coastal Japanese town in Kanagawa Prefecture, on central Honshū, Japan. If you are selected for the residency, you will receive a roundtrip flight to Narita International Airport (Narita) or Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), and shared accommodations for 4 weeks. Each artist-in-residence will receive $800 USD for meals and local transportation.
