Harvest: AVA's Fall 2023 Juried Exhibition

AVA Community Art Center in Gillette, WY invites artists to submit up to three artworks for consideration in the Harvest Exhibition, running August 1-31, 2023. The entry deadline is June 23, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT, with a $15 submission fee (one payment covers up to three artworks).

The theme of Harvest is broad and subject to interpretation. Artists are invited to consider crops, fruits, plants, and the labor and love involved in their cultivation and harvest, as well as cooking, food display, and family traditions. The exhibition will feature up to thirty artworks selected by a guest juror. Awards include: Best In Show ($500), Second Place ($250), Third Place ($150), and one People's Choice award ($100) selected by public vote during the Artists' Reception.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older. Artwork must be original, created after January 2019, and not previously exhibited at AVA or created under instructor supervision. Both 2D and 3D work in any medium are considered. Artwork dimensions are restricted to 48 inches in any direction, inclusive of matting and framing. Ineligible work includes celebrity portraits, fan art, giclee or reproduction prints, tutorial-based artwork, direct copies, and work infringing on copyright. Submitted artwork must be finished and display-ready, professionally framed (canvas work must be framed; no sawtooth hangers, clip frames, plastic framing, French cleats, or pre-drilled stainless post systems). Mats and backings must be acid-free with firmly attached hanging wire and hardware. Each submission requires at least one high-resolution digital image labeled as: Artist Name/Title/Size. Upon acceptance, artists must provide a short biography and may include business cards or professional links. Participating artists receive a 65% commission split as AVA members or 55% as non-members.
