H Gallery + Studios | 2021 Gallery Exhibitions

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot venue located in Ventura, California, between Malibu and Ojai. The space includes a 2,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios dedicated to creatives and art entrepreneurs.

Submissions are reviewed by curator Zära Monet Feeney, a curator, exhibiting artist, and university professor at California State University, Northridge. Her selection process emphasizes both technical ability and conceptual applications. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 10 weeks, and featured artists are invited to attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions.

Submissions require a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 20, along with a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least one social media platform. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each. An optional consultation with the gallery director is available for $100. Entries submitted by 3/31/2021 are considered for 2021 exhibition. Entries are reviewed weekly and early considerations are made prior to the final deadline. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. All shipments must include a prepaid UPS or FedEx return label and be shipped in a reusable container. No packing peanuts are permitted.
