Guests in the Galleria at the Loveland Public Library 2016

The Art Selection Committee of the Loveland Public Library seeks to select artists or artist teams from Colorado to schedule exhibits for the Galleria. The Galleria displays will introduce artists to the community and provide exposure and sales opportunities. The Galleria display area reflects Loveland's reputation as an art community.

The Library features five display cases within pillars along the Galleria, each with inside dimensions of 69" H x 21" W x 19" D. Selected artwork will be on display for three-month periods in 2016: January 1 through March 31, April 1 through June 30, July 1 through September 30, and October 1 through December 31. Applicants must be independent artists or artist teams residing in Colorado. Each piece of art submitted must fit within the confines of a Galleria display case. Entry fee is $10.00.

Applications require a concept statement, current resume, detailed information on each piece (title, dimensions, medium, date produced, price/value, sale status), and images of up to six artworks with a maximum of three images per piece. Images must be formatted as BASELINE Standard JPEG, 1920 pixels on the longest side, under 1.8 MB at 72ppi, in RGB color space. An artist selection panel will review applications and select artists for the four scheduled shows. Sales while pieces are on display will be handled by the Friends of the Loveland Public Library, who retain a 20% commission. A $100 Best of Show prize will be awarded November 1, 2016.
