Griffin Museum of Photography: 20th Juried Exhibition - The Peter Urban Legacy Exhibition

The Griffin Museum of Photography's 20th Juried Exhibition, named The Peter Urban Legacy Exhibition, is open to all photographers who are members of the Griffin Museum of Photography (with membership expiration after 4/1/2013). The exhibition will be held July 10-August 31, 2014 at 67 Shore Road, Winchester, MA 01890. Juror: Aline Smithson.

Photographers working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought are invited to participate, including experimental and mixed techniques. Submitting images from a singular body of work is encouraged for cohesive selection. Artwork selected for gallery exhibition will be limited to a framed size of 30x40 inches. Entry fee is $18 for 5 images; dual level members ($75 or above) may submit up to 8 images. Submissions must include an artist statement (up to 5,000 characters). Selected artists will be notified by May 28, 2014. Opening reception is July 10, 2014 at 7pm.

Awards include: $2,500 Peter Urban Legacy Award, $1,000 Arthur Griffin Legacy Award, $500 Griffin Award, and Honorable Mentions. All accepted images must be professionally printed and framed with glass or plexi. Artists are responsible for shipping framed images to the museum and providing a pre-paid return shipping label. All work accepted for the gallery show must be for sale; the Griffin Museum retains a 35% commission on sales. Artists maintain copyright and grant the Griffin Museum rights to use images for marketing and exhibition purposes. Selected artists will be added to the Griffin Museum's monthly newsletter.
