Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating from an Arapahoe County high school or be a resident of the City of Greenwood Village, Colorado. Fields of study include fine art, music, photography, theater, set design, architecture, literature, creative writing, poetry, or other related arts fields.
Scholarship Awards: First place: $4,000; Second place: $2,000. Confirmation of acceptance from the school you plan to attend must be submitted before the scholarship is awarded. Proof of full-time enrollment is also required.
Eligible Work: Fine art, sculpture, photography; music, dance, theatrical performance; or literature including short stories, poems, persuasive pieces, or excerpts from longer pieces of writing.
Submission Requirements: For 2D and 3D art, up to six images are allowed. For performances, up to three audio and three video submissions are allowed; at least one video must be submitted so jurors can see and hear the performance. For literature, up to three entries are allowed; complete pieces are required. Minimum two total samples, maximum six total samples.
Finalists must bring original pieces to the Curtis Arts and Humanities Center, 2349 East Orchard Road, for juror review in March 2017. Work will be held for approximately one week. Late entries will not be accepted.
