Greenwood Village Annual Art Scholarships 2020

The Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council announces its annual Art Scholarships for graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a major in one of the arts. Eligible fields of study include fine art, music, photography, theater, set design, architecture, literature, creative writing, poetry, or other arts-related fields. Students must be graduating from a high school located in Arapahoe County or be a resident of the City of Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded. Confirmation of acceptance from the college or art school you plan to attend must be submitted before the scholarship is awarded, along with proof of full-time enrollment. Eligible work includes fine art (painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, etc.), music, dance, theatrical performance, and literature (short stories, poems, persuasive pieces, or excerpts from longer pieces). For 2D and 3D art, up to ten images are allowed. For performances, up to three audio and three video submissions are allowed; at least one video must be submitted so jurors can see and hear the performance. For literature, up to three entries are allowed, with complete pieces required (excerpts allowed for longer works). A resume and at least one letter of recommendation (up to three encouraged) are required as PDF documents.

If chosen as a finalist, you may be required to bring original pieces to the Curtis Center for the Arts, 2349 East Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, for jurors to view. Work will be held for approximately one week in March 2020. The deadline is Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Late entries will not be accepted.
