About This Call

The Cade Art Gallery at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD will hold its latest annual National Juried Exhibition on the theme of Green from April 28 to July 14, 2026. The exhibition invites artists to consider how this hue and its saturation and values appeal to the senses, or how Green can address issues as far-ranging as nature and health, to politics and religion. Green can also be represented in its most abstract form, and the absence of Green can be as important as its presence. Submissions may be in any medium or technique, including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and photography, as well as sound, video, installation, and performative art forms.

The exhibition is juried by Roberto C. Ferrari, Curator of Art Properties at Columbia University, who holds a Ph.D. in art history from the Graduate Center, City University of New York, and has worked at prominent institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Artists over the age of 18 working in all media are eligible to apply. Entry fee is $20.00, and artists may submit up to 5 artworks with an artist statement for each work. All accepted work must be ready to hang or display, including audio and written work, with two-dimensional work requiring braided picture wire on the back.

The call for entries closes March 8, with artist notification on March 16. Artwork drop-off is April 15-17, and shipped artwork must be received by April 17. Artists are responsible for shipping costs both to and from the gallery. The public reception and juror talk will be held April 29 from 5-7pm, with artwork pickup dates July 20-21.
