Greater Los Angeles Summer Exhibition Consideration

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot venue located in Ventura, California, featuring a 2,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. Founded in 2011 by Yessíca Torres and Rodrigo Aguilar, the gallery focuses on mid-career to established artists and is exclusively curated by Dab Art Co. The gallery is part of Dab Art Co., which expanded to include a main location in Downtown Los Angeles and additional locations in California and Mexico City.

Submissions are reviewed by the H Gallery curator for group exhibitions. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats, and wiring. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 10 weeks. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions, and a selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation with the curator is available for $50. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Shipments must include prepaid UPS or FedEx return labels and be in reusable containers; packing peanuts are not permitted. Gallery retains 50% commission on all sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Notifications are sent via email, and early applications are encouraged as entries are reviewed weekly.
