Greater Los Angeles | Gallery Exhibition Consideration

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot vintage 1930's building located in Ventura, California, dedicated to creatives and art entrepreneurs. It includes a 2,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. Founded in 2011 by Yessíca Torres and Rodrigo Aguilar, H Gallery is now a satellite gallery exclusively curated by Dab Art Co., focusing on mid-career to established artists.

This call seeks submissions for group exhibitions curated by Zära Monet Feeney, a curator, exhibiting artist, and university professor at California State University, Northridge. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 10 weeks. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Submissions must include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation with the curator is available for $50. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from buyer. Entries submitted on or before October 31, 2020 are for Fall/Winter 2020 exhibition consideration. Entries are reviewed weekly and early considerations are made prior to the final deadline. Artists selected for online exhibitions will be placed on a gallery wait list with priority consideration for gallery exhibitions once COVID closures are lifted.
