Greater Los Angeles | 2022 Exhibition Consideration

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot vintage 1930s building located in Ventura, California, dedicated to creatives and art entrepreneurs. The space includes a 2,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. Founded in 2011 by Yessíca Torres and Rodrigo Aguilar, the gallery focuses on mid-career to established artists and is exclusively curated by Zära Monet Feeney, a curator, exhibiting artist, and university professor at California State University, Northridge.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. Gallery exhibitions range from 4 to 10 weeks, with online exhibitions varying from 3 to 6 months. A minimum of one solo exhibition is selected per month. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer.

Submissions require at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least one social media platform. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Artists selected for exhibition will receive notification of status. Artists placed on the waitlist and not selected for an in-gallery exhibit will be featured in at least one online exhibition within the calendar year.
