Greater Los Angeles | 2021 Gallery Exhibition Consideration

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot vintage 1930s building located in Ventura, California, dedicated to creatives and art entrepreneurs. It includes a 2,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. H Gallery was opened in 2011 by Dab Art Co. founder Yessíca Torres and designer Rodrigo Aguilar. The gallery focuses on mid-career to established artists and is exclusively curated by Dab Art Co.

Submissions will be reviewed by the H Gallery curator for group exhibitions. A comprehensive submission must include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 10 weeks. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews and/or panel discussions.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional consultation with the gallery curator is available for $50. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Early applications are encouraged as entries are reviewed weekly and exhibition considerations are made prior to the deadline.
