Granbury Opera House Window Art

The Granbury Cultural Arts Commission is seeking original art submissions for a mosaic installation on the exterior windows of the historic Granbury Opera House. The selected design will be adapted into three and six mosaic window panels. The project includes installation of two images: one segmented into six sections and another into three sections, resulting in a cohesive full image. Each section will be crafted from mosaic tile panels and installed in the exterior windows. The six-window grouping will be situated on the south side of the building overlooking the lake, while the three-window section will be located on the east side facing Bridge Street and visible from Pearl Street.

Submissions should be vibrant, text-free artwork that celebrates Granbury's rich history, natural beauty, and charming flora. Artists must submit a concept design with detailed narrative, full budget breakdown including all associated costs and fees, and examples of past installed works demonstrating experience. The Commission reserves the right to request additional information during the review process.

Eligibility is open to all artists age 18 and over. Entry fee is $25.00. Submit 1-5 images. Total budget is $9,000 with $1,000 per window.
