Granbury Art Projects

Granbury Art Projects, the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission, is inviting local artists to submit images of original artwork for potential selection in a catalog of art. This catalog will serve as a resource for various public art projects in the community, including utility box wraps, mosaic windows, murals, sculptures, and other visual arts in public buildings and parks. Currently approved projects include Granbury Opera House windows artwork (to be converted to mosaic), Out of the Box utility box wrapping program, murals, and Granbury Regional Airport Terminal Lobby.

Applicants must live or work as an artist in Hood County, Texas and be 18 years of age or older. Artwork submitted must reflect the natural beauty, history, and spirit of Granbury. Submissions may include paintings, photography, collages, sculptures, mosaics, and other media. Artwork must be original design and personal execution, provided as a digital version by the copyright owner, and not permanently on display in a public location within the City of Granbury. Selected artwork should be scalable to different sized projects with vertical and horizontal shapes, and imagery must be detailed enough to prevent temptation to graffiti. Submissions will not be considered if they include advertising, branding, commercial images, logos, photographs of people, wording, intellectual property breaches, trademarks, brands, or images of illegal activity.

Entry fee is $25.00 with an additional $5.00 media fee. Applicants may submit 1-5 total work samples, which may include up to 5 images, 5 audio files, and/or 5 video files. Entry deadline is May 26, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Budget is dependent on project and to be determined.
