Got Wax?: A Juried National Exhibit of Artworks Created with Cold & Hot Wax Processes

Got Wax? is an exhibition of artworks created with cold and hot wax processes. Artists working with wax fuse, blend, layer, build and dig to add luminosity, texture, and depth to their works. The use of wax in art dates back to ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt and contemporary artists of today continue to explore wax's versatility in art. This is a juried exhibition, and it will be co-curated by Gallery Director Amanda Bradley, and by Juror and Artist, TBA.

This exhibition is open to all artists, 18 or older, residing in the United States. All work must be original and created without the aid of an instructor or kit. Work needs to have been produced within the last eight years. Works cannot exceed a weight of 50 pounds and cannot be longer/larger than 60 inches in its longest dimension. Size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Manager directly prior to submission. The $35 entry fee covers 3 entries with a minimum image submission requirement of 3 images. Each additional submission over 3 submissions is an additional $5, and artists can submit up to 10 works to be juried for the show.

Exhibition dates are Saturday, February 14th - Saturday, March 14th, 2026, with a dual opening reception on Friday, February 20th, 5:30 - 7:30. Awards include 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $300, and 3rd Place: $150. d'Art Center commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Accepted works must arrive by 5pm Saturday, February 7th, 2026. The exhibition will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.
