About This Call

All media are accepted, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, ink, assemblage, collage, prints, photography, and sculpture (stone, clay, wood, paper, paper mache, bronze). The exhibition runs August 4 through September 16, 2017, at Niza Knoll Gallery, located at 915 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's historic Arts District.
Entry fee is $40. Artists may submit 1-3 images. Art must be original and created by the artist, ready to hang with secure wire on the back. No plastic frames, white frames, saw tooth or triangle hangers are permitted. Simple mats and simple black frames are recommended. Paintings may have at least a 1½ inch wrap around canvas without a frame or a simple black frame. Art previously shown in the gallery will not be accepted. All work must be marked clearly on the back with artist's name, title, medium, size, and price. Work brought in person can be no larger than 48 inches wide by 60 inches high and must be delivered Saturday, July 29th between 4 and 6 pm. Shipped artwork must fit in a package no larger than approximately 36 x 36 inches and must arrive by Saturday, July 29th. All 3D work must not exceed 30 pounds; sculpture must be sturdy and stand-alone. Wall-hung 3D work cannot exceed 25 pounds. All artwork must arrive exhibition ready with hanging hardware and assembly instructions.
Accepted artists must provide a one-paragraph artist statement. All work must be available for sale during the exhibition. Niza Knoll Gallery retains a 40% commission on all art sales. Payment for sold artwork will be issued within 30 days after the exhibition closes. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs, including return shipping with pre-paid labels. The gallery is not responsible for damage or loss during transport; artists should insure work while in transit. Awards of recognition will be given; specific categories are to be determined.
