GLPS National Pastel Exhibition

This exhibition is open to any North American pastel artist 18 years and older. Paintings must be at least 80% soft pastels only and must be identical to the accepted image. Work may not be created on top of a photographic image, and no copies from other artists or based on published images by other artists or photographers are permitted. Work done under supervision in a class or workshop is not eligible. Paintings must have been completed in the last three years and not have been shown in any previous GLPS exhibit. Tasteful nude artwork may be accepted, but GLPS reserves the right to exclude any artwork deemed unsuitable or against US laws. There are no size restrictions on actual artwork.

Artists may submit up to 5 image entries. Entry fee for the first image is $35 for GLPS members and $45 for non-members. Images #2-5 are $5 each for both members and non-members. All entries must be paid by the entry deadline of July 1, 2024. Changes and additions can be made until the deadline, but entry fees are not refundable and entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline.

Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files only. Images should be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to include only the artwork itself with no visible matting, frames, or background distractions. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile for best results.
