GLOW Nights

GLOW Nights is an exhibition of 3-dimensional, light-based artworks inspired by the unique phenomena, flora, and fauna of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Installations will be on display in Jackson, Wyoming and Teton Village from December 2019 through January 2020, located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and in historic downtown Jackson.

Artworks should be interesting and engaging during the day, but emphasize light and illumination at night. Conceptual, educational, or representational works are welcome. Outlandish and far-fetched ideas are encouraged. Hughes Productions will provide significant technical lighting support, including 4 hours of consultation and up to $1,500 of lighting equipment per installation. All projects must be installed safely and comply with local laws and electrical safety standards.

Artists are responsible for installation and removal of artwork. Work may be shipped with detailed installation requirements if the artist cannot be present. Because artworks are temporary, insurance cannot be provided, but JH Public Art will maintain work professionally and conduct basic maintenance as needed. Installations will be celebrated with two free, family-friendly celebrations and supported with print and social media marketing. Entry fee: $5.00. Submit 6-10 images and up to 1 video (6-11 total samples minimum). Previously displayed artworks may be considered if they meet project goals.
