GIVE PEACE A CHANCE - One-Year Art Installation

This exhibition invites artists to explore the theme of peace through their work. The call asks: How can art address questions of change? Show how the phrase "give peace a chance" can change who we are and how we behave towards one another. How can we make our human relationships better? How can we treat each other better? How can we create better, safer, peaceful societies?

Selected artwork will be installed in elevator doors measuring 36" wide x 80" high (1:2.2 ratio). Work must be submitted in portrait orientation only; landscape orientation cannot translate to these dimensions. Images that are more than half as wide as they are high may be cropped to fit the available space. All 2D fine art mediums are acceptable. Original artwork only. Sculptors and other artists whose images include background material should consider how the background factors into the final image reproduced for display.

Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry (up to 20 images). Submit 1-20 JPEG/JPG images at 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, maximum 5 mb file size. Deadline for submissions is June 30, 2022. Winners will be notified by July 5, 2022, and artists must provide digital files for printing by July 20, 2022. Installation is scheduled for July 25, 2021. Each selected artist will receive a $250 stipend and acknowledgment with contact information at the installation site. Jurors will make selections by director's choice; no personal feedback is provided. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist's website.
