Girlish 2024 - Exhibition and Publication

Gallerium presents Girlish 2024, a dual exhibition and publication celebrating the diverse visual stories of girls and women. This international opportunity invites artists to capture the experiences, emotions, struggles, and triumphs of females through artistic expression. Artists are encouraged to explore various facets of femininity including self-discovery, empowerment, societal expectations, gender roles, personal narratives, heritage, identity, freedom, rights, gender equality, empowerment, leadership, and career achievements. All interpretations in any 2D and 3D art medium, abstract or representational, are welcomed.

Selected artworks will be exhibited online from January 20 to March 20, 2024, and published in The Book of Arts: Girlish publication. The online version of the book is available for free, while high-quality print versions can be ordered through print-on-demand services. Selected artworks will be promoted internationally through the exhibition catalogue, which will be available to art experts, galleries, curators, businesses, and enthusiasts via popular publication gateways. Artists will receive a digital exhibition poster, social media promotional badges, an online profile page on the Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate.

Submission is free. A selection fee of USD 40 applies only to selected artists, with a money-back guarantee until the exhibition opening. Artists can submit up to 5 original artworks, with a maximum of 2 artworks accepted per artist. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and created within the last 5 years (preferred). All visual artists worldwide are eligible. Artworks that include pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate or offensive content are not admissible.
