Girl Power

This exhibition invites artists to interpret "Girl Power" in their own unique way, exploring the multifaceted dimensions of what it means to identify as a woman in today's world. Artists are encouraged to reflect on the power, resilience, and complexities that encompass femininity and embrace the spirit of empowerment.

Artworks can encompass various mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital arts (if video, artist must supply own display), mixed media, and installations. 2D work must be gallery wrapped or framed and wired with no saw tooth hangers, and cannot exceed 48" in any direction. 3D work may not exceed 36" in any direction and must stand free. All artwork must be available for sale. Submit up to three pieces (each judged individually; 3D works can have multiple images) along with a brief artist statement explaining how your work relates to the theme.

The exhibition runs February 10 to March 16, 2024, with an opening reception on February 10th from 2pm-4pm. All work must be hand delivered February 7th-8th. Acceptances will be notified by February 5, 2024. Artists must sign a contract accepting a 50% split with the gallery for any sold works. Open to all North Carolina and South Carolina artists of all genders and backgrounds. Entry fee: $30.
