Gilpin Arts 78th Annual Juried Art Show

The Gilpin County Arts Association presents the 78th annual juried art show for summer 2025. The exhibition runs from June 7 to August 8, 2025, with daily viewings from 11 am to 5 pm at Gilpin Arts Galleries, 117 Eureka Street, Central City, CO. The opening night preview and reception takes place Saturday, June 7 from 5 pm to 8 pm, where award winners will be announced. Unsold works can be picked up Friday, August 8 and Saturday-Sunday, August 9-10 between 11 am and 4 pm.

Artists must be U.S. residents, at least 18 years old, and submit original works created within the last three years that have not been previously exhibited at Gilpin Arts Galleries. All submitted artwork must be available for sale. Entry fee is $50 for non-members and $40 for members. Artists may submit up to 3 images. Registration is online via Café from December 13, 2024 through April 16, 2025. Accepted artworks must be delivered to 117 Eureka Street between May 1-26, 2025 from 12 pm to 4 pm. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by email by April 28, 2025.

Submission categories include 2D (mixed media, paintings, pastels, charcoal, etc.), 3D (sculpture, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, wooden pieces), and Photography. Wall art must be wired and ready for hanging with a maximum size of 50 inches on the longest side and weight limit of 10 lbs. Sculptures must be freestanding, 11-30 inches on the longest side, and not exceed 250 lbs. Giclee prints, crafts, plastic beading, and previously exhibited work are not accepted. Total cash prizes are $3,500, including Best of Show ($500), First Place ($400 per category), Second Place ($300 per category), Third Place ($200 per category), and Honorable Mention ($100 per category).
