Gilpin Arts 77th Annual Juried Art Show 2024

Gilpin Arts is hosting its 77th annual juried art show with $3,500 in cash prizes. The show runs June 8 through August 9, 2024, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gilpin Arts Galleries, 117 Eureka Street, Central City, CO.

Artists may submit up to three works across three categories: 2D, 3D, and Photography. Entry fee is $50 for non-members or $40 for Gilpin Arts Association members. All registration must be completed online through CaFE by April 14, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Submissions require 1-3 high-resolution images (minimum 2560px on smallest side, maximum 8MB). Accepted works must be dropped off May 1-27, 2024 between 12-4 p.m. at the gallery, or shipped with a pre-paid return label. Jury notification will be sent by April 22, 2024.

Eligibility requirements: Artist must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. Work must be original, completed within the last three years, made by the applying artist, and never previously exhibited at Gilpin Arts Galleries. All artwork must be for sale with realistic prices. 2D work must be finished with painted edges or gallery wrapped, maximum 50" on longest side, wired and ready to hang with 10 lb. weight limit. 3D work must be freestanding, not require electrical support, maximum 30" on longest side, and artist must provide stand if needed. Photography must be matted, minimum 11" on shortest side, maximum 30" on longest side. Not accepted: giclee reproductions, crafts, plastic beading, damaged artwork, or work outside size requirements. Awards include Best of Show ($500), three first place ($400 each), three second place ($300 each), three third place ($200 each), and three honorable mention ($100 each).
