About This Call

Geometry: The Shape of Things is an online exhibition running March 19, 2026 - April 19, 2026. Site:Brooklyn is seeking works across all mediums that continue to develop geometry to understand form, shape, and space. While geometry has been a means of achieving artistic effect from ancient times to the present, it became an end in itself during the rise of modernism. Artists from Cubist, Dada, and Russian avant-garde movements of the 1910s and 1920s created worlds of abstracted shapes and off-kilter planes; post-war artists from Rio de Janeiro to Paris investigated line, color, and pure form; and contemporary artists use traditional means and novel technologies to investigate geometric form.

The exhibition is juried by Hannah Sage Kay, an arts writer and critic based between New York and Los Angeles who has contributed to Artforum, The Art Newspaper, Autre, The Brooklyn Rail, BOMB, Financial Times, The Guardian, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among others.

Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, with a $10.00 fee for each additional image (3-12 images total; up to 3 videos may also be submitted). All entries must be received by February 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Jury dates are February 24 - March 4, 2026, with notification on March 4, 2026. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older; only original works may be submitted. All artwork must be priced for sale and available for sale during the exhibition. Artists will retain a 60% commission on all sales. Once accepted, artists will be required to upload high-resolution photo files of their work.
