About This Call

Geometry and art have a deep and intertwined history. Geometric forms provided classical proportions, complex symbols, and linear perspective, the development of art would be unthinkable without it. In the 20th century, with abstraction, Piet Mondrian, Hilma af Klint, Kazimir Malevich, and Frank Stella opened up an entirely new language, using geometry to get to the roots of form and perception. Site:Brooklyn is calling for a wide-ranging collection of work relating to geometry, spanning subject matter, medium, and form.
