Garrison Art Center 2027 Exhibition Season

Proposals for Gallery Exhibitions are due no later than January 15, 2026. A jury of 10 will review your work through a careful and deliberate process which takes several months. Applicants can expect to hear back no sooner than May. The entry fee is $30.00, and submissions require 5-10 images.

The gallery space is utilized by pairing solo and group exhibitions so that both galleries are occupied during a show, with each proposal receiving either a show in the Gillette Gallery (625 sq ft) or Balter Gallery (360 sq ft). For group exhibitions, each artist should include their individual CVs, but the group should submit one unified proposal with artwork images divided between the group.

Eligibility requires visual artists who are 18 years old and have an artist studio within a 90-minute radius of Garrison, NY. Artists are required to deliver and pick up their artwork, attend opening receptions, and are encouraged to give artist talks. Before exhibitions, work is curated from the artist's studio, which can occur over Zoom but in-person studio visits are preferred and are geographically limited to within a 90-minute drive time from GAC.
