Game On: Sports Through Art

The Gallery of Hermosa invites all artists to submit original 2D artworks for the exhibition "Game On," which explores the dynamic intersection of art and sports. The showcase welcomes diverse interpretations across all sporting disciplines and artistic styles, from traditional to contemporary approaches. Artists are invited to capture the essence of any sport—including surfing, soccer, figure skating, golf, volleyball, skiing, running, biking, and basketball—in their own unique style.

Located in downtown Hermosa Beach, the Gallery of Hermosa attracts a diverse audience of passersby, sports enthusiasts, beachgoers, vacationers, and locals. The gallery offers an ideal platform for artists to showcase their work to a broad and engaged audience. A Gallery Party and Opening Reception will be held on June 7, 2024, with the exhibition running June 7-23, 2024.

Entry fee is $25.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee per extra image. Artists may submit 1-3 images. All accepted artwork will be offered for sale during the exhibition at the gallery and/or online, with the Gallery of Hermosa taking a 35% commission. Artists must include a short artist's bio and statement, as well as a brief description (up to 300 characters) for each artwork. The opportunity is open to all artists—local, national, and international.
