Gallery One In Print

Gallery One Visual Arts Center announces their first national juried printmaking exhibition titled IN PRINT. Accepted entries will be included in a month-long exhibition in May 2015 at Gallery One in downtown Ellensburg, Washington, 95 miles east of Seattle. The exhibition will be featured in the Main Gallery and the Mezzanine Gallery. Opportunities for lectures, workshops, and special events will be offered to chosen artists.

Eligible media includes traditional, non-traditional, and digital prints such as lithography, relief, intaglio, silkscreen, and monotype. Both 2D and 3D work, including artist's books, are accepted. Artwork cannot exceed 60" in any direction. Giclees and photography are not eligible. Artists may submit up to 6 artwork entries. Entry fee is $30 for up to 3 entries, with $10 for each additional artwork entry over 3. One detail image is allowed per entry at no charge.

Open to all printmakers 18 years and older residing in the USA. All work must have been completed within the last three years, originals only (no reproductions), and cannot be completed under the direction of instructors. Accepted entries must be identical to submitted images. Awards include: $500 for Most Innovative Artwork, $400 for Best Use of Non-traditional Printmaking Processes, $400 for Best Use of Traditional Printmaking Processes, and $200 for Award of Merit. All exhibiting artists receive a printed catalog and a PDF of the catalog via email. Email notifications will be sent February 15, 2015. The opening reception is May 1, 2015, from 5 to 8pm with awards presented at 6:15pm. Artwork must be for sale with a 40% gallery commission.
