Gallery of Hermosa: Exhibit in Japan

Gallery of Hermosa is announcing an international collaborative art exhibition with Creative Space Hayashi in Chigasaki, Japan. This cross-cultural exhibition celebrates creative exchange, cultural connection, and artistic excellence, seeking high-quality, original artwork from emerging and established artists. The exhibition runs from April 10 to April 19, 2026, with an opening reception on April 10. Artists will be notified by January 20, 2026.

We welcome high quality 2D works in all mediums including paintings in oil, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, acrylic, pen and ink, sumi-e, pencil drawings, and works in ceramic, bronze, marble, stone or other mediums. All genres will be considered including landscapes, figurative, portraits, abstract, surreal, still life, impressionism, expressionism, pop art, realism, conceptual art, digital art, and photography. Paintings should not exceed 24" wide x 36" height, and all artwork must be available for sale at all price points.

Creative Space Hayashi is located in the seaside town of Chigasaki and serves as a gathering place where people connect through the arts. This collaboration between Gallery of Hermosa (California, USA) and Creative Space Hayashi brings artists and viewers into dialogue across cultures. Artists may submit up to three images for a $35 entry fee. All artwork must be hang ready, and accepted artists are responsible for shipping to Japan. The exhibition will be curated by Kimie Joe, Director of Gallery of Hermosa and Misa Hayashi, Owner of Creative Space Hayashi.
