About This Call
Gallery 110's 9th Annual International Juried Exhibition will showcase work by emerging and established artists from February 7–March 2, 2019. The gallery is located in Seattle's Pioneer Square gallery district, offering artists exposure to First Thursday Art Walk patrons.
This international juried show is open to artists 18 years of age and older. Artwork may be in any two or three-dimensional media and must be original works created in the previous five years. The entry fee is $35 for three entries, and $10 for each additional piece. Payment must be in US dollars and entry fees are non-refundable. Submissions may include up to 20 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files, with a minimum of 3 total samples required.
The juror is Carrie Dedon, Assistant Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at Seattle Art Museum. Finalists' work will be displayed at the gallery, and the juror will award first, second, and third-place prizes of $1,000, $500, and $300, plus a "People's Choice" award of $200. Two-dimensional artwork must be mounted with hanging wire or other hanging apparatus and ready for the wall. Artwork weighing more than 35 pounds requires prior contact with the Director. Entries must be for sale with a gallery commission of 50% deducted from sales. Artists grant permission to Gallery 110 to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in printed and electronic forms. Finalists will be notified by email by December 1, 2018, and must return signed consignment agreements within 7 days. Selected artists are responsible for framing and delivery of work by February 1, 2019. An artist reception and juror's awards ceremony will be held February 9, 2019, 5–7pm. Gallery hours are Thursday–Saturday, 12–5pm.
