FWS 54th Annual Exhibition

Florida Watercolor Society announces the 54th Annual Exhibition to be held at Orlando Museum of Art in Orlando, FL. The exhibition runs from September 13, 2025 through January 4, 2026, with a reception on Friday, September 12th from 6-8pm. Pick-up date is Monday, January 12th, 2026.

Eligibility: Qualifying Associate/Participating, Signature, Life, and Sponsor (Diamond or Platinum) Members of Florida Watercolor Society in good standing with current 2025 dues by March 31, 2025 may submit one or two digital images of original paintings. Basic and Student members are not eligible. Entry fee is $35 for one entry and $40 for two entries, paid through CaFÉ with MasterCard, Visa, or PayPal. Accepted work requires shipping or hand delivery with a handling fee: $10 for hand-delivery, $30 for AirFloat or MasterPak boxes, or $45 for other shipping boxes.

Artwork Requirements: Minimum size 80 square inches (not including mat or frame); maximum longest side of frame or panel must not exceed 60 inches. All entries must have been created after January 1, 2022 and cannot have been previously shown in any FWS Online or Annual Exhibition. Eligible artwork is limited to water-soluble watermedia (no metallic paints, water-soluble oil products, or pastels) on surfaces specifically for watermedia, excluding canvas. Paintings must be framed under Plexiglas or sealed with varnish. Collage is acceptable only if made from paper painted by the artist in water media. Diptychs or triptychs are not permitted. Paintings must be the artist's own original composition, painted by hand, not copied from another artist's or photographer's work, and not created in a live or online class. All photo references must be taken by the submitting artist; purchased images, stock photos, internet photos, published materials, vintage family photos, and AI-generated images are not permitted.

Juror: Matthew Bird will serve as both Juror of Selection and Awards Judge. Awards total over $20,000 (may be subject to change) including a purchase award of $1,500. Awards presentation is scheduled for Saturday, September 13th at the Gala Awards Dinner. The 2025 FWS Convention & Trade Show will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando from September 11-13, 2025.
