FWS 2022 Online Show

The FWS 2022 Online Show is open to FWS Non-Signature Members in good standing and new members who join by November 20th, 2021. Eligible artists must be full- or part-time Florida residents. Artists who won an award in the 50th Annual Exhibition or are Signature Members of FWS, NWS, or AWS are not eligible. Signature members of other local, regional, and state watercolor organizations are eligible.

Artists may submit up to three images for jurying, though only one painting per artist may be accepted to show on the FWS website from approximately January 15th through November 2022. Judge Alexis Lavine will select up to 100 entries. Entry fee is $15 per image, plus a $15 media fee. Images must be submitted as jpegs between 1800-1920 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi. Entries are accepted from October 1st through November 27th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

Eligible artwork is limited to water-soluble media (acrylic and alcohol inks acceptable; no water-soluble oil products, pastels, or India ink). Paintings must be on approved watermedia surfaces such as watercolor paper, rice paper, clay-coated surfaces (Claybord, Aquabord), synthetic surfaces (Yupo, Tygerag, Terraskin), or illustration board. Canvas is not allowed. Source material must be original and not derived from published images. All entries must have been completed after January 1, 2019, and not previously shown in any FWS Annual or Online Exhibitions. Minimum image size is 8" x 10"; there is no maximum size limit.

Awards include $1,000 for First Place, $500 for Second Place, $300 for Third Place, and three Merit Awards of $100 each. Award winners will have the opportunity to show their original work in the FWS Booth at the 51st Annual Convention & Trade Show in Punta Gorda, FL in September 2022.
