FWS 2020 Non-Signature Member Online Show

The Florida Watercolor Society invites Non-Signature Members to submit work for the 2020 Online Show. Eligible artists are Non-Signature FWS Members who did not win an award in the 48th Annual 2019 Exhibition, and new FWS Members with Florida residency who join or renew by November 25th, 2019. A Non-Signature Member is an FWS Member who has not been accepted into three FWS Annual Exhibitions and has not received Signature Status.

Eligible artwork must be created in approved water-soluble media on approved substrates including paper, clay-coated surfaces (Clayboard, Aquabord), synthetic surfaces (Yupo, Tygerag, Terraskin), illustration board, rice paper, white tissue paper for collage, and flat, unstretched watercolor canvas. Source material must be original by the submitting artist and not derived from published images. All entries must have been completed after January 1, 2018, and not previously shown in any FWS Annual or Online Exhibitions. Photographs, reproductions, digital media, and digitally created work are not permitted. Collage is acceptable only if created from paper painted by the artist in water media.

Submit up to three images online via CaFE from October 5th through November 30th, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $15 per image, payable online. Judge Carrie Waller will select up to 100 images to show, with no more than one entry per artist accepted. Awards include $1,000 for First Place, $500 for Second Place, $300 for Third Place, and three Merit Awards of $100 each. Award winners will have the opportunity to exhibit their original work in the FWS Booth at the 49th Annual Convention & Trade Show in St. Petersburg, FL in September 2020. The online exhibition will be viewable on the FWS website beginning January 15th, 2020.
