About This Call
FWS 2016-17 Non-Signature Member Online Show
Only Florida Watercolor Society Non-Signature Members and new members who join or renew by October 15th, 2016 are eligible to enter. Entries are accepted from October 21st through December 3rd, 2016. Non-Signature Members in good standing may submit up to three images for jurying. Entry fee is $15 per image, with an additional $15 media fee for additional images. Images must be submitted online via CaFE.
Eligible artwork is limited to water soluble media (no water soluble oil products, charcoal, or pastels) on surfaces created for watermedia, including paper, clay coated surfaces (Clayboard, Aquabord), synthetic surfaces (Yupo, Tygerag, Terraskin), illustration board, and flat, unstretched watercolor canvas. Collage is acceptable if made from paper painted by the artist in water media. Photographs, reproductions, and digital media are not permitted. All paintings must be original compositions completed after January 1, 2014 and not previously shown in any FWS Annual or Online Exhibitions.
Judge Ron Thurston will select up to 100 images to show, with no more than one entry per artist accepted. Awards include $1000 for First Place, $500 for Second Place, $300 for Third Place, and three Merit Awards of $100 each. Submitting artists will be notified of acceptance via email near the end of the year. Online Show Award Winners will have the opportunity to display their original work in the FWS Booth at the 46th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Coral Springs in September 2017.
