The Fund Development Manager will execute the Symphony's fundraising strategy, managing core annual fund activities including direct mail campaigns, individual donor cultivation and stewardship, special event support, and development systems oversight. Key responsibilities include retaining and acquiring donors, managing direct mail solicitations and online giving programs, maintaining a portfolio of Annual Fund prospects and donors giving up to $1,999, assisting with fundraising and stewardship events, creating development reports, researching potential funders, managing the Private Reserve Club, creating and disseminating a donor newsletter, and processing donation transactions. The position requires flexibility for evening and weekend event support and regular attendance at SRS concerts.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 2+ years of fundraising experience (preferably in performing arts), a bachelor's degree or equivalent, exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, strong computer skills including Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and CRM database experience, and a valid driver's license. The position requires ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, work on a computer in an office environment, and lift up to 20 pounds periodically. In addition to regular Monday-Friday business hours (9:00am-5:00pm), some weekend and evening hours throughout the year will be required.
Salary range is $67,000-$75,000 depending on experience. Compensation includes 100% employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan with employer match, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. To apply, email cover letter and resume as a single PDF to Enid Rickley-Myres, Director of Development, at [email protected] with the job title in the subject line.
