Frisco ISD Faculty Art Showcase

The City of Frisco seeks original, 2-dimensional artworks created by Frisco ISD faculty for the Frisco ISD Faculty Art Showcase. The exhibition will showcase the artwork of FISD faculty and demonstrate the high level of art being taught to students in Frisco. The exhibition is scheduled for Monday, February 13 through Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.

Eligibility is limited to Frisco ISD faculty members only. Artists may submit up to two images of original artwork. All artworks must be original, framed, and suitable for hanging with wire securely attached. The maximum artwork size is 60 inches (vertical) x 60 inches (horizontal). Three-dimensional artwork will not be considered. Photographs must be printed on quality paper at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. All artworks must be delivered and picked up in-person on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 (10 am to 2 pm, and 4 to 7 pm) at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 1st floor Executive Conference Room (Rm C130). Shipped artworks will not be accepted, and return shipping will not be provided.

Submissions must include the artist's name, title of artwork, date of completion, medium/media, size in inches, artist statement, artwork description, and price if for sale. Image submissions must be in .jpg format with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the shortest side. Selected artworks will be reviewed by the Frisco Public Art Board and City of Frisco staff based on compliance with requirements, appropriateness of content, uniqueness and originality, visual impact, demonstrated excellence of technique, and reflection of the City of Frisco's shared values. Selected artists will be required to sign a loan agreement. Artwork on display may be for sale by the artist, with the City of Frisco receiving no commission. Artists are responsible for all aspects of sales. Artwork pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (10 am to 2 pm, and 4 to 7 pm).
