About This Call
FRESH Great Lakes is an exhibition for emerging artists in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. All media welcome. The exhibition runs August 8 - September 4, 2015, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 8, 5-7 pm (updated to Friday, August 7, 5-7 pm).
Eligibility: Artists in the early stage of their career, in high school, college, or recently graduated. Entry fee is $20 per artist, with up to three pieces allowed per submission. Image requirements: JPEG format only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size. Submit 1-3 images.
Juror Claudia Berry will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, with an additional People's Choice award. Cash prizes are based on the number of entries. Works must be presentation/exhibition ready. If framed, plexiglass or glass must be used. Drop-off dates: Saturday, July 25 - Sunday, August 2 (weekdays 10am-4pm, weekends 1-4pm). Artwork pickup: Friday, September 4 after 4pm, through Tuesday, September 8. A 40% commission applies to works sold during the exhibition. The Art Center insures work while on display. Artists are responsible for return shipping costs and insurance in transit. Work not picked up within 30 days becomes property of SHCA. Contact: (269) 637-1041 or [email protected].
