FRESH ART 2022

FRESH ART 2022 is an online fine arts exhibition presented by the Marin Society of Artists, open to all artists over the age of 18. The exhibition showcases artwork in a diverse range of mediums, subjects, and styles, including sculpture, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, fabric art, and other fine art crafts (no video or film). The theme invites artists to define "Fresh Art" as something new and different, forward or bold, expressive, engaging, stimulating, and creative—showing new directions in their artistic practice.

The exhibition will be presented online in two forms: an online presentation in the MSA Virtual Gallery that includes artist price and contact information, and a video version showing all works that will remain available on YouTube after the show closes. Exhibition dates are November 22, 2022 through January 22, 2023. A virtual Zoom reception will be held on Sunday, December 4 at 5 p.m. PST. The juror is Jen Tough, owner of the Jen Tough Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Entry fee is $35 for non-members (3 entries) or $30 for MSA members (3 entries with coupon code), with $7 for each additional entry up to 10 pieces total. Submissions must include 3-10 digital images in JPG/JPEG format, minimum 1200 pixels on the longest side, under 5 MB. Deadline to enter is Monday, November 7, 2022 before 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Zone. Notification of accepted entries will be by email on November 15, 2022. Awards include First Prize $500, Second Prize $300, Third Prize $100, and up to three non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final selection. Artists retain 100% of sales with no commission to MSA.
