FRESH ART 2021

FRESH ART 2021 is an online fine arts exhibition presented by the Marin Society of Artists, open to all artists over the age of 18. The show showcases artwork in a diverse range of mediums, subjects, and styles, including sculpture, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, fine art crafts, and fabric art (no video or film). The theme invites artists to define "Fresh Art" as something new and different, forward or bold, expressive, engaging, stimulating, and creative—showing new directions in their artistic practice.

The exhibition will be presented online in two forms: an online presentation in the MSA Virtual Gallery that includes artist price and contact information, and a video version showing all works that will remain available on YouTube after the show closes. Exhibition dates are October 29, 2021 through December 31, 2021. A virtual ZOOM reception will be held on Sunday, November 14 at 5 p.m. PST. The juror is Brian Gross, President of Brian Gross Fine Art in San Francisco. Awards include First Prize: $500, Second Prize: $300, Third Prize: $100, and up to three non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion.

Entry fee is $35 for non-members (3 entries) or $30 for MSA members (3 entries with coupon code), with $7 for each additional entry up to 10 pieces total. Digital entries must be submitted via CaFÉ by October 11, 2021 before 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Images must be JPG or JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. Notification of accepted entries will be sent by email on October 22, 2021. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final selection. Artwork previously accepted by the juror to an MSA exhibition will not be accepted. Artists retain 100% of sales with no commission to MSA; interested buyers will contact artists directly.
