Fresh Art 2019

Marin Society of Artists invites submissions for Fresh Art 2019, an exhibition of original artwork to be shown in the MSA main gallery in San Rafael, California from November 7 through November 30, 2019. Open to all United States resident artists 18 and over. Artists may submit digital images of up to ten original works not previously shown in an MSA juried exhibition. Accepted media include painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, digital art, art of the book, fiber art, fine art crafts, and ceramics. Video, film, and installations are not accepted.

Entry fees are $35 for three pieces ($30 for MSA members), with an additional $7 per piece up to ten total pieces. Digital entries must be submitted via CaFE by Monday, September 23, 2019 before midnight Mountain Time. Accepted entries will be posted to the MSA website by October 14, 2019. Artwork size limitations: 2D work not to exceed 60" in height or width including frame, with total weight not exceeding 50 pounds; 3D work not to exceed 48"x48" and cannot exceed 50 pounds. Waivers may be requested before submission.

The exhibition will be juried by Donna Seager of Seager/Gray Gallery in Mill Valley. Awards include First Place ($500), Second Place ($300), Third Place ($100), and non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion. Accepted artwork may be shipped (must arrive by November 1, 2019) or hand-delivered (November 3-4, 2019). Artwork will be returned during the week of December 2, 2019. MSA retains the right to sell accepted work at the submitted "Show Price" with a 40% commission for non-members and 30% for members.
