Freestyle 3.0

HMVC Gallery presents the 3rd annual "Freestyle" online group art show. There are no limitations on theme, style, or technique. Artists are judged on originality, style, technique, artistry, and the quality of their Artist Bio and Artist Statement.

Artworks from all mediums of visual art are welcome, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists can submit up to 20 artworks for consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the group show. Digital entries must be received by July 29th, 2025 before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by July 31st. The show will premiere on August 1st and end on August 31st.

All participating artists will be featured on the website and virtual gallery and will receive an HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation. A video clip featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron billboard in Times Square in August. Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (Online Solo Show). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. The Third Place winner receives a one-month solo show at HMVC Gallery New York and a solo certificate. Entry fee is $35 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable, does not guarantee acceptance). Image requirements: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; 1200-2560 pixels on the longest side; under 2 MB. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang.
