Freedom

Corrales Bosque Gallery in Corrales, NM invites submissions of up to 3 pieces of 2-D art embodying the concept of Freedom. The gallery is a cooperatively owned and managed art gallery located in a bucolic and artistic community between Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, NM. All art styles are welcome, including traditional, non-representational, contemporary, or avant-garde. The theme of Freedom is selected to inspire artists to think about what freedom means to them, whether it is artistic, political, emotional, personal, financial, professional, historical, or any other type of liberation.

Acceptable media are paintings and drawings in oil, acrylic, pastels, pencil, and watercolor. No photography or digital images are permitted. All pieces must be suitably framed and ready to hang with wire and D-rings attached (no sawtooth hooks), with wire coming to 2" from the top of the frame. Gallery-wrapped or deep edge canvases at least 1.5" deep are allowed unframed if the sides are painted. The maximum size of entry, frame included, is 400 total inches (height multiplied by width). Artists can enter up to 3 paintings, with a maximum of 1 selected for the show. Entry fee is $15 per painting, plus a $15 media fee. Submissions must be 1-3 images.

Artworks juried in will hang in the Corrales Bosque Gallery for one month (June 1-30, 2025). All work must be original and not created in a workshop, art class, or under the guidance of any mentor or instructor. Artwork cannot violate copyright law. This juried exhibition is open to all artists living in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Texas. Entry deadline is April 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury dates are April 15-30, 2025.
