Fraser Mountain Mural Festival 2024

The 2024 Fraser Mountain Mural Festival is presented by the Town of Fraser and the Fraser Public Arts Committee, taking place August 2-4, 2024. Artists will compete by producing work on 8ft x 8ft primed panels. Each accepted artist will receive a $500 stipend to help with expenses. The festival is a platform for local, Front Range, and national artists to compete for cash prizes while generating creative energy and raising awareness for The Fraser Center for Creative Arts. This year's theme is "Life in Motion": Celebrating Fraser's legacy of outdoor recreation.

The festival schedule includes artist check-in and meet & greet on Thursday, August 1st. Painting begins Friday, August 2nd at 9:00 AM with DJ entertainment. Saturday, August 3rd features continued painting from 9:00 AM with DJ and live music, with murals completed at 4:30 PM and an award ceremony at 6:00 PM. Sunday, August 4th includes DJ entertainment and public viewing of murals, with an online auction closing at 5:00 PM.

Applicants should submit images of past work and a tentative design for the mural. Instagram and website links are appreciated. Artist statements and history are welcome but not required. Entry fee is $25.00. Applicants must submit 4-10 images. Eligibility requires accomplished muralists willing to work outside in variable mountain weather, interact with visitors, and attend the Saturday night awards event.
