About This Call

Atelier Ghostbirds in Portugal invites artists, makers, and creative souls everywhere to participate in a Mail-Art Exhibition. Send images, words, or flat objects that light up your world to help cover the gallery walls with the simple joys and profound treasures of life.

Theme: Art is life and life is art. Show the people, places, memories, and dreams that give you energy and meaning. What everyday fragments make you feel most alive? Submissions should be postcards or envelope submissions (maximum 21 cm or 8.25 inches on the shorter side; larger pieces may be folded). Mail up to three works. Include on the back of each piece: name, title (if you have one), medium, and location. Any artist or maker of all ages—emerging or established—from anywhere in the world may participate for free.

All works will be exhibited salon-style, wall-to-wall, at Atelier Ghostbirds from January–March 2026 and will be up for a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Global Fund for Human Rights, which channels donations directly to grassroots organizations doing urgent work in the Global South and conflict-affected areas. Submit to: Atelier Ghostbirds, Rua da Paz 4, 6-A, Caldas da Rainha 2500-165 Portugal. International Deadline: December 15, 2025.
