Fragile Earth: A Call to Action

Fragile Earth: A Call to Action is an art exhibition that explores the delicate balance of our planet's ecosystems and the urgent need for environmental stewardship. The exhibition merges visual art with scientific insight and grassroots activism, featuring work by local and regional artists across a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, photography, and interactive installations. Each piece reflects on humanity's impact on the natural world.

The exhibition runs from July 31 – September 28, 2025 at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery at the Bankhead Theater, 2400 First Street, Livermore. The gallery is open free to the public Thursday-Sundays 1-5 pm and to ticketed patrons during performances. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 1-3 pm. All work must hang on the wall and remain up for the duration of the show.

Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 images. Accepted artists must deliver work on Tuesday, July 29, 10am-12noon. Artwork must be wired and ready to hang. Artists will be required to sign a release form giving Livermore Valley Arts the right to exhibit their work and waiving liability for damage or theft. Livermore Valley Arts does not provide insurance. If artwork sells, a 4% credit card processing fee applies, then 70% goes to the artist and 30% to the gallery. Artists will receive payment up to 30 days after the close of the show. Artwork pickup is Tuesday, September 30, 10am-noon.
